**Waterville, Maine Is The Only Location That Offers This Program**

Benefits Available

According to statute 38 DSC 3452, individuals receiving VA educational assistance must be actively pursuing a vocational, educational, or professional objective. By requiring students to take both Instrument and Commercial courses simultaneously, the VA ensures that the student is committed to using their benefits effectively for their vocational goals. This approach is unique and will be applied only in this situation. It allows for the payment of VA educational benefits while meeting FAA requirements.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will reimburse eligible veterans, service members, or reservists for both dual and solo flight training, including preflight briefings, post-flight critiques, and ground school, at a rate of 60%. This allowance is paid monthly by the Department of Veterans Affairs based on the actual training received and certified to them.

When you meet with our staff, we can provide you with a reasonable estimate of the expected total cost for the VA program based on the course(s) you select. Please note that exact costs will depend on your progress, as students must train to FAA Practical Test Standards. Additional factors that may influence cost include general aptitude, study habits, and personal motivation. Payments for all charges incurred for aircraft rental and instruction are due at the end of each training session. You can make payments using a credit card, debit card, cash, or check.
